Water Exercises
Water exercises are some of the most effective exercises available. Swimming being the most effective of all exercises, the secret lies in the resistance of the water. By being fully immersed in water, and propelling yourself through the substance, you are continually using your abdominal muscles, arm muscles, leg muscles, shoulder muscles, back muscles, and any other muscles that can be exercised. The movements required to correctly complete a stroke require such a variety of movements, there is hardly a muscle that goes un worked. After a few swimming workouts, even the most fit athletes feel muscle soreness in muscles they have never felt before. This is because of the different muscles swimming requires, some of which have never been used in any rigorous exercise before. There are several different competitive swimming strokes, and all of them use muscles in slightly different ways, they are freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly. Each stroke is completely different, and has a steep learning curve. If swimming is something you are interested in, but have never learned the official strokes, then swimming lessons could be in order. Private lessons provide a more individualized experience, and will allow you to learn faster, with a better technique.
