Nutrition FactsClick Here To See Our Selection of Sports Nutrition Products There are many nutrition facts that could, or should, inform your dietary choices. Here are a few of them. The first of the nutrition facts is that nutrition is the study of how diet is related to health. It is a nutrition fact that if you change your daily diet, you can see major impacts on your health—either positive or negative, depending on what you change. The second of the nutrition facts is that there are six main classes when it comes to what your body needs: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water. Another of the nutrition facts that goes with this is that your body needs at least three of these items daily in order to properly maintain itself and remain healthy. Any diet that restricts one of these items drastically needs to offer some sort of balance. If you are switching to a low-fat diet, what are you replacing the fat with? The third of the nutrition facts is that moderation is the key. There are no bad foods, just bad serving sizes. If you eat food that is “bad for you” remember that an occasional treat, or a small portion, is not going to ruin your life or your health, barring any other health issues. Most of the nutrition facts can be boiled down to one simple, easy-to-remember expression: You are what you eat. This may seem childish, but it is also a very elegant expression of how your body responds to what you put into it. |
