Lower Back Exercises
Lower back pain is one of the most common back problems in modern society. Lifting one heavy box incorrectly, or twisting the wrong way can cause serious back pain, and possible injury. Once your back is injured, it is never fully functional again, and the slightest thing can bring back the pain. The only way to prevent lower back injury, or reduce the pain, is to exercise the lower back. There are various methods of lower back exercises, but all are meant to strengthen the lower back, and if done correctly, will prevent back pain, and prevent injury. If back pain is already a problem, gentle stretching exercises should be performed before lower back exercises, which are meant to strengthen muscles. Performing lower back exercises while already experiencing pain will only cause more pain. Some popular ways of gently stretching and lightly using lower back muscles include swimming, and bicycling. Both use your back, but will not injure it in any way. After back pain is reduced, lower back exercises should be implemented to stop any future pain or back injury. Some popular forms of lower back exercises include the "knee to chest", the "pelvic tilt", and the "pelvic lift". These will slowly strengthen you lower back in a safe way.
