Leg Exercises
Leg exercises are used to strengthen the many different muscles of the leg. There are many different forms of leg exercise, all catered to different parts of the leg. Because our legs are used every day for standing, walking, running, and just moving around, exercising them is extremely important. If your life includes doing anything active such as sports, running, swimming, climbing, etc, then strengthening your legs is vital. One of the most effective upper leg exercises is the squat. This can be done with or without weight resistance. Place feet shoulder with apart, and lower your body down keeping your back straight, until your knees are bent at a nearly ninety degree angle. Then push upwards, until you are standing straight up. This is only one of many available leg exercises that can be done at home or in a gym. Other ways to exercise your legs exist as well, that do not include weights. Running, jogging, swimming, and bicycling are all excellent ways of exercising the legs, as well as cardiovascular exercise. These will not only strengthen your legs, but provide an entire workout. Leg exercises are simple to come by, mainly because your legs are used daily. Parking your car further away from the door to the grocery store will exercise your legs. Or walking to your friend's house a few blocks away, instead of driving. These are simple things that you can do to change your lifestyle that will also strengthen your legs by providing every day leg exercises.
