Buttery Turnips
Ingredients
. 1 ½ pounds turnips - peeled, and cubed
. 1 tablespoon butter
. 1 packet sugar substitute
. ½ teaspoon salt
. 3 tablespoons heavy cream
. ¼ teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
Directions
1. Keep the turnips in a large frying pan.
2. Add 1/3 cup water and butter to the skillet. Sprinkle turnips with sugar substitute and salt.
3. Cover skillet and cook turnips over medium heat 15 minutes, till they are soft.
4. Uncover skillet and continue cooking until all the water is evaporated.
Stir in cream, cook until the cream thickens slightly and turnips are evenly coated, for about 3 minutes. Add pepper before serving.
