The American Diabetes Association was found in 1940 and the American Diabetes Association is dedicated to providing diabetes research, information, and advocacy. Some of the American Diabetes Association services include a National Call Center, a whistleblower program, a volunteer network, and fund raising events, among many, many others. The American Diabetes Association national call center took over three hundred and fifty thousand calls last year from people with questions, concerns, and looking for more information and support. The American Diabetes Association whistleblower program is designed to stop fraudulent fund raising practices, and the American Diabetes Association asks all its members and volunteers to take advantage of the program if they know of any fraudulent behavior.

The American Diabetes Association volunteer program is very important. There are over twenty million people who need help, and the American Diabetes Association appreciates every person who is willing to sign up and make a difference.
