Alternative Health
Alternative health has no exact definition. It is generally understood as the use of those products and practices to contribute to one's health that are not taught in schools, or being commonly used as a part of conventional medicine. Some of these methods have been around for centuries, and have incredible success stories. Examples of alternative health methods, and medicines include aromatherapy, the use of herbs, the use of roots, the use of seeds, yoga, meditation, digestion of raw and living foods, music therapy, and spiritual healing. While some of these examples may seem more drastic than others, none of these are scientifically proven to help a person's health, and the opposite is true as well. They are merely examples of alternative health methods people have practiced for a number of years. Alternative health is an interesting topic, probably because almost everyone has heard a story about alternative health methods working. A more simple form of alternative health could be the hiccup "cures". Different people swear by different methods, yet none of them is a cure-all. Perhaps this is the answer some people seek: No one type of health practice will work for every person trying it, and alternative health methods are a necessity. Or maybe these alternative health methods have not received the proper amount of research simply because they are deemed to be silly. Maybe one of them is the cure to cancer, and we just don't know it yet.
